Meet Cameron

Cameron Gallagher dreamed of a world without the stigma tied to mental health. As a teen, she knew far too well the darkness that came amidst the struggles. She knew she wasn't the only one fighting these battles, yet oftentimes it felt that way. As she envisioned how things could be, she asked the community to join her,

to SpeakUp for those struggling.

Now, Cameron provides hope and light to so many.

Her legacy lives on through not only the fulfillment of her dream, the SpeakUp5k, but also the programs provided to teens through the work of her Foundation.

The Importance of Our Work

Recent studies have shown that 46% of Americans will meet the criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition sometime in their life. Half of those people will develop conditions by the age of 14.

We believe that providing mental health education to teens is critical to developing and utilizing lifelong skills that will help them face life's challenges for years to come.

Roughly 1 in 5 teens report experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Yet 60% do not receive any treatment.

We know that the first step to seeking treatment is an open line of communication without any stigma. By increasing awareness and understanding of mental health, we know that teens will be more likely to seek the help and support they need.
